Caroline Allen MA VetMB CertSAM MRCVS with The Webinar Vet
Thursday 22 October 8.30pm
Vets can find themselves faced with an animal that is suspected to have been abused in a number of circumstances. The RSPCA may present an animal for examination by a vet, or a vet may see an animal in practice with suspicious injuries. This webinar helps vets navigate the legal framework of the animal welfare act so they can deal with these cases with confidence.
Reports show that cases of domestic abuse are on the rise during lockdown. Veterinary professionals can fulfil their role in recognising and acting on signs, while providing current emergency-only veterinary services.
The Links Group presented a Webinar with an update on the link between animal abuse and violence; implications for veterinary teams during Covid-19 and beyond. You can watch a recording of the webinar here.
