Veterinary receptionists are the eyes and ears of a practice, often the first and last point of contact between the veterinary team and animal owners – even before they’ve even physically entered the practice environment!
This is why veterinary receptionists play such a crucial role in recognising and responding to ‘the link’. We are so grateful to the team at the British Veterinary Receptionist Association for inviting us to speak to their delegates and exhibit at the recent BVRA Congress held in Solihull. There was an incredible atmosphere and an excellent programme, which made for a perfect day to complete a very busy week for The Links Group team.
Emily Mills, RVN, Vet Projects Manager at Dogs Trust and Links Group speaker, delivered a presentation on “The Link between domestic abuse and non-accidental injury in pets – What can you do?”, tailored to the role of the veterinary receptionist in practice.
Emily’s knowledge and experiences in this field seemed to resonate with many of the delegates who joined us in the exhibition afterwards. Here, they shared their further thoughts on what roles receptionists could play in raising awareness of ‘the link’ and in supporting clients and colleagues, and we are looking forward to working even more closely with this group.
We are delighted to offer BVRA members a discounted rate* at our upcoming East Midlands region multi-agency training day in Hinckley on 12 November 2025 – please contact info@thelinksgroup.org.uk for more details.
*Special discounted rate of £35 for BVRA members when you book before 29/10/25 by emailing info@thelinksgroup.org.uk
The team at The Links Group would like to say a huge “THANK YOU” to all at BVRA for the incredible support they have given us over the past few years. Here’s to many more!
