Links Group trustees David Martin and Rebecca Stephens spoke on Protecting Animals Protecting People: 5 things You Need to Know at the recent South East Coast Ambulance Service’s Annual Safeguarding Conference in sunny East Grinstead on 17 June.

This was an excellent opportunity for us to talk about “The Link” to allied professionals from the ambulance service.  It seems a long time in the planning, and we are very grateful to the trainee paramedic (and previous vet nurse and practice manager!) who spotted the need for this training in their new role and made the introduction – thank you, G!

Multi-agency working is so important for information sharing, and ensuring best practice, and this was an ideal event for The Links Group to learn more from our colleagues working in SECAS.  We look forward to sharing more information on this soon, so keep checking back.

We were delighted to be asked to deliver this presentation by Gareth Knowles, Head of Safeguarding at SECAS, who took the time to learn more about “The Link”, and the interface with the services he and his colleagues provide.

Thanks to Gareth and all his team for making The Links Group so very welcome at this excellent conference.
