It’s been a very busy week for The Links Group Chair, Paula Boyden.
On Tuesday 10th June she visited the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gloucestershire in Gloucestershire Constabulary‘s Headquarters in Quedgeley. Here, Paula was able to talk about the importance of “The Link”.
Gloucestershire is one of the small pockets of counties in the west of England which doesn’t currently have a specialist domestic abuse animal fostering service, so it’s been an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of these issues and further the importance of multi-agency working and partnerships to effect positive change for all victim-survivors of domestic abuse, both people and their pets.
On Wednesday 11th June, Paula was on the other side of the country. The Links Group were invited by the 1st Military Working Dog Regiment to raise awareness of “The Link”. We were delighted to be asked to speak to this group, which included dog handlers, veterinary officers, veterinary technicians and supporting staff.

Thank you to the Regiment for their invitation and for their hospitality to Paula.
