Invitation-only roundtable meeting of APGAW (All-party Parliamentary Group for Animal Welfare) in Westminster formed of relevant experts in domestic abuse and/or animal welfare only to discuss domestic abuse and pets, chaired by Irene Campbell, MP.
In particular, the meeting will consider Ruby’s Law, which seeks to provide explicit protection for pets in law that would stop abusers harming, threatening, or using pets to intimidate victims as well protecting the pet from direct abuse.
The Links Group Chair, Paula Boyden, will be presenting with Vice-Chair Vicki Betton, alongside Ruby’s Law, A-LAW, trustee Dr. Mary Wakeham for Refuge4Pets and Paula for Dogs Trust Freedom with Amy Hyde for Cats Protection Lifeline.
